Caribbean Cruise Top Ten Highlights: #6 The Food

One great thing about a cruise is that the food is all you can eat and you don't have to worry about how much it costs because it has already been paid for in the cruise ticket. This caused me to eat way too much. It is like Taylor said, "I have been eating way too much, way too often." I did gain several pounds but I sure enjoyed doing it.

My favorite meal of the day was breakfast. We really enjoyed out breakfast waiter. Her name was Corina, and she was from Romania.

Dave and I waiting for our food.

I loved getting the hot chocolate and dipping the pastries in it.

Eggs Benedict, yum!

We had to dress up fancy for a couple of the dinners. Aubree helped me do my hair. I love her face in this picture so I had to post it.

All dressed up at dinner.

Aubree loves to eat!

These are a couple of the appetisers we had.

They served lobster for dinner one night. As you can see, Aubree didn't like it too well.

My favorite part about dinner was the desert. Almost every night I would order two different ones off the menu because I couldn't decide. I still really miss having desert after every meal. The last night they brought out baked Alaska. You can see the waiters carrying the I cream that is on fire. They even did a little parade with it.

Caribbean Cruise Top Ten Highlights: #7 Honduras, Fantasy Island

Once the boat docked in Honduras, we caught a taxi and it was about a 30 minute ride to our destination. I was surprised at the poverty.

We crossed this bridge to arrive at...

Fantasy Island! It was beautiful. This is not the best picture of it.
While there we saw a monkey,
found some conch shells,
and discovered these star fish.
We did some canoeing and snorkeling. Aubree, Taylor and my dad did some scuba diving. They saw a sunken ship and airplane and they also saw a cliff wall. They said it was pretty spectacular. While they were scuba diving, Dave and I took the canoe out with my mom in her tube tied behind us. It was a warm place with warm water and my mom stayed in the water the entire time. She loved it.
The boys tried snorkeling over the sunken ship and surfacing dived down to see it.
One of Taylor's life dreams was to eat a coconut, fresh from a tree. So Dave and Taylor lifted me up onto their shoulders, cheerleader style, to get this coconut down. Fresh coconut, yum!

Caribbean Cruise Top Ten Highlights: #8 The Entertainment

After playing all day, we would return to the ship and enjoy the different forms of entertainment. We went swimming, hot tubing, and miniature golfing. When we were miniature golfing it was super windy. So windy that your ball would be blown around but still we did it. There were also shows at night that included a hypnotist, juggler, and comedian. I thought the comedian was super funny. At one point he was joking about the tanagers that walk around with a strut and acting like they are from the ghetto. He said he saw a kid on a cruise boat acting like this and had to laugh because the kid was obviously not from the ghetto if he is on a cruise.

Caribbean Cruise Top Ten Highlights: #9 Movies Under the Stars

One thing that Dave and I enjoyed on our cruise was that they would show movies on a big screen that was out in the open. The first movie we saw was New Moon. It was Dave's first experience with Twilight. I thought he would not like it at all but he said it was ok. On the other hand my Dad thought it was the dumbest movie ever. The only part he thought was ok was when Bella goes to see the movie Face Punch. We also saw Sherlock Holmes and Blind Side.

Caribbean Cruise Top Ten Highlights: #10 Bahamas

My parents took Dave and I along with Aubree and Taylor on a cruise to the Caribbean. It was a lot of fun. It felt like a celebration for Dave and I since he was finally done with school. There is sooooooo much to share so I thought I would do a "top ten" and do a post for the next ten days. Aubree and Taylor were the photographers and they took a billion pictures. Hope you enjoy.
Our last stop on the cruise was at a private Princes Cruise Island in the Bahamas. This was probably one of the least favorite stops we took. There wasn't much to do other than hang out on the beach and snorkel.
My mom was having a horrible time just sitting on the beach all day. Before I took this picture I told my mom to show us how much fun she was having for the camera. She thought that was pretty funny.
The boys tried out the fishing. It was not good. I don't think they caught anything.

All dressed up to snorkel.

While we were snorkeling a lifeguard man on a jet ski told us to be careful because there may be some bull sharks this time of year. I admit that snorkeling scares me for that exact reason. After that I was all done snorkeling and was quick to get out of the water.

Dave has GRADUATED!!!

I was going to do a post about our cruise that we took a couple of weeks ago, but I fiirst need to give this new accomplishment its well deserved recogmition. After three very long years of work and school, long hard days for Dave and lonely ones for his family, Dave has completed his MBA. Dave has worked very hard for this and has been prsistant, even though circumtances were very difficult. This really is such a great accomplishment. Dave and I have said that this is one of the hardest things we have ever done. Great job Dave! We are so very proud of you.

We recently had Whitney take some family picutres. Here are some of my favorites.

Now that school is over, it is time to play.

I am going to do a "Top Ten" blog post of our cruise next. I will do one everyday. So stay tuned over the next ten days to see the highlights of the cruise we took.
